Polymathy is frequently little more than a confused heap of useless erudition, occasionally detailed, either pertinently or impertinently, for parade. The genuine polymathy is an extensive erudition, or a knowledge of a great number of things, well digested, and applied to the purpose, and never but where they are necessary.

Hi and welcome to Polymathy Lab. My name is Bianca Aguglia and I am the owner of and writer for this site.

Polymathy Lab is a project I started at the beginning of 2022. It has two main goals: one is a goal I have for myself, the other is a goal I have for this website and the YouTube channel that accompanies it.

With those two different goals in mind, here are some of the things I am posting on this site:

I chose the name Polymathy Lab to make it clear there is no single path to polymathy. Rather, polymathy is an on-going set of experiments. Some experiments fail, some succeed, but they all give us some insight into what works, what doesn’t, and what we can do better.

If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or stories you want to share, please feel free to email them to me. The address is the name of this website @gmail.com. I avoid putting the actual email address in here to prevent web scraping bots from easily getting the address and spamming it.

Thank you for being here. May your own polymathy experiments be fun and fulfilling.
